Description
Pair of tap shoes worn by Bill Robinson, given to Paul S. Henderson by Bill Robinson(1878-1949), A.K.A. Bojangles. Robinson was potentially the most famous tap dancer of his time, most famous for his performance in the 1928 run of "Blackbirds" on Broadway. Robinson was one of the first black dancers to perform in white vaudeville circuits, and later in life danced in film as well as on stage.
