Purse

Description

Crocheted miser purse made with alternating bands of red and cream purse silk decorated with geometric motifs worked with steel cut beads. Flat end of bag features a twisted loop fringe of steel cut beads supported by a triangle-shaped netting of steel cut beads. Pair of silver metal rings for closure. Owned by Anne Bathurst, wife of Matthew Bathurst (1778-1847).
