Henrietta Barroll to her son John Leeds Barroll. Enquires about his health, and discusses trying to get his release. John Leeds Barroll was in exile in the Confederate capitol of Richmond, Virginia after publishing a newspaper article that federal authorities found treasonous. The Barroll family was a prominent Kent County family in the 19th and 20th centuries.
