Description
Count Casimir Pulaski's (1748-1779) original cavalry banner. Fine weft-ribbed silk, silk, embroidery, silver gallon, fringe of silver yarns with silk core. Faded red-orange trimmed with gallon & fringe. Embroidery of "US" encircled by "Unita Virtus Forcior." (United Valor is Greater). In 4 corners are exploding hand grenades. On the other side: A single eye embroidered in the center, surrounded by a circle of stars, surrounded by "Non Aluis Regit" (no other governs). Also grenades in 4 corners. Embroidery practically colorless, little yellow shows in grenades & blue in "US". Satin stiching and chain stitiching.
