Bodice and Skirt

Description

Blue silk-linen three-piece ensemble that consists of a skirt, top, and shorts. The top features sequins and vibrant floral embroidery. Sequins also embellish the skirt's waistline and the skirt itself has two slits.

Notes

Worn by Wallis Warfield Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor (1896-1986) during a trip to Thailand in 1969-1970. Madame Grès designed this ensemble specifically for the Duchess and this trip.
